I wear nightgowns and PJ's around my house. My neighbors think I am naked. Am I by standards?

I just want to know because they tell everyone I am naked and really it's my buiness. But they've ruined my rep with everyone around!

Buy PJ's that have 'MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS' written on the front and back.

hahaha they're freaks,

but i guess i can see how they might think it's weird if their neighbor is just walking around naked.

ask them, why are you telling everyone this and try to explain yourself, or if youre not suppose to know come out of your house in the pj so they can see you are wearing something

I don't get it. If you're not nude, why people are persistent of saying you're nude? I think they are just pervert, and kind of maniacs. Perhaps their fantasies are too strong and can't tell which one is true - that they always see you naked in their eyes though you're not.

Yeah, that's pretty bizarre. It IS only your business, and unless you're wearing a nude-colored bodysuit or something, I don't even know where they're getting the idea from that you're walking around your house naked...

Thats so weird, of course youre not naked. Why is your neighbor spying on you in the first place?!

And seriously, if you do walk around your house naked, then so what! They need to shut their mouths.

you're only naked if you're naked

I'd be disgusted by your neighbors...why are they lookin so hard then talkin about it, it sounds like you got perv peeping toms on your street. If anyone bother's you...file a report on them for peeping tom

I think it's fine. It's around you house, so who cares

there mean arn't they liol

How can i remove dry rotted elastic from nylon nightgowns?

Why are you keeping a nylon nightgown with rotten elastic? If the elastic is sewn to the gown, it will be time consuming and probably not worth the work. You will have to remove the elastic from the nylon with a seam ripper and stretch stitch new elastic onto nylon. If the elastic is enclosed in a casing, just make a small opening, cut the elastic and pull it out.

Do women really wear silk nightgowns to bed like they do in the movies or TV?

You ever notice that? Women always wear sexy, silk gowns to bed on TV shows or in the movies. I have yet to meet a woman that will do that on a regular basis. Maybe for a special occassion, but not every night.

No, those things are not all that comfy actually. Guess they're not supposed to be. I always wear a t-shirt and panties, even on "special occasions". I've haven't had any complaints yet, so I'm sticking to it.

Every time I try to wear one, it ends up on the floor.......I give up! So now, if I want to wear my Victoria Secret silk gown, I wear it for dinner so at least he has to finishing eating first!!! (this would be an at home candlelit dinner for just the two of us. :)

A lot of women do, but the largest majority does not. I wear a Tshirt, But keep shorts beside my bed in case I have to leave the house in an emergency, like a fire, or threat of violent weather.

Sometimes, yes, but not every night unless she has an obsession with that type of lingerie. Tv shows and movies do not reflect real life, even if they purport to do so.

Not really more like a t-shirt and panties. (lol) Or shorts and a shirt. IDK. Something silky for sex! (lol) no occasionally.

Yes, some actually do.

Yeah not really, I mean some women might for sure, but I don't know anyone who does unless it's special occassion.

I do occasionaly but usually i just sleep in a t shirt. there could be some who wear that every night but not everyone.

Lingerie is expensive. If someone would buy it for me, I would wear it 24-7.

sex sells...so i'm sure it's pretty much just shows/movies.

Why do women as they age from teenagers stop wearing nightgowns?

Do you have a reason you do not wear them? or a reason you still do? Why as you get older you tend to start wearing them (granny gowns, lol)

i still wearing them.. it's comfortable.. wear loose will help me sleep well..

Huh? You phrased that weird.

I think older women wear nightgowns more because it is what their generation has pretty much always worn. My mom is 56 and wore mostly nightgowns up until like about 5 years ago when I bought her a set of PJ pants and a matching tank top. Now all of her pajamas are pant-shirt sets because they're just more comfy.

You try putting on a dress, then sliding into bed. You'll wind up with it bunched up around your middle. Not so comfortable.

I don't wear anything to bed

young girls are proud of there body's.. because there skinny with a nice body. the sexy nigh things young women wear are sexy .when women become older there body's are not as attractive. or they feel less attractive.. and they also want comfort when they sleep

Ew, never for me.

I will always sleep in my panties.

=]

I don't know any teenagers who wear nightgowns. How did you gain this information? *raised eyebrow*

I enjoy wearing nightgowns/slips because I hate the feeling of stuff on my legs trapping them. I move a lot and get tangled in pants. (it's a gift and a curse really. hee hee)

Well when's the last time you saw a nightgown designed and made for a teenage girl/young woman? Can't wear it if no one makes it.

I think most women wear PJs because it's just easier with them because you can be comfortable in them just lounging in the house.

I'm a young woman, probably much younger than you silly. When its cold I wear what you define as 'granny gowns' because they are warm and comfortable.

and btw why do you start taking viagra at age 29, and why do you wear pajamas.

i find nightgowns uncomfortable.

I never worn a night gown aka a **MOO MOO****. I sleep in a t-shirt and pajama bottems. LOL.

Kay Kay

maybe for the same reason old geasers wear their white boxer shorts and shrunken muscle undershirts that are so short, their huge hairy beer bellies slide right on out...

ITS comfort.. pure comfort!....

Clothes have to change as you grow. It's not appropriate when a 60 yr old wears short skirts because it doesn't look right.

Anyway, I don't wear night gowns. I always wear regular pjs, just the tshirt and pants.

My mom wears nightgowns...not the like risque ones...but one...i'm guessing cus eventually we will have children and don't want them to see anything less than... us with our clothes on...

or we may not feel as sexy anymore...

i'm 20...and i wear night gowns... i don't think i'll stop. the sexiness of them may fade a little. But i like to go to bed feeling sexy...

I've never been a night-gowny sorta gal. I'm one of those HUGE t-shirts ones. I really like wearing my husband's shirts cuz they smell like him...^_^

But even before that...I had extra big shirts just for me!

i dont like nightgowns... they arent very comfortable and i just dont like sleeping in them... i think even when im older i will never sleep in them yuck...

it's an age old question

but really you have to look at it from both side

1)do they have any reason besides advertizing campains, mothers advice and tradition (fitting in with the crowd)

2)do they look better with it?

what are they doing?

trying to piss guys off or please them

or are women so wierd that they would do it for any wierd reason that has nothing to do with guys

chivalry i tell you

chivalry

I still wear nightgowns, they are more like cotton slips though. I hate wearing pants to bed, they get all bunched up around my knees by the time I wake up.

because they can. nightgowns are annoying. it comes with having privacy.

um, well, being a teen, i never wore a granny gown

never plan to

i dont cuz i like wearing boy boxers or sweats with a tank or a T.

i honestly would never think to wear a gown, they would bunch up

and also cuz i like to look cute when i go to bed.

my bf likes to come over and surprise me in the morning [=

Well not many people i no where them, I guess PJ's are just in : )

the reason i don't wear them is because i get twisted up in mine while i sleep...i tend to toss and turn sometimes, and i get tangled up in it. i hate night gowns. so now i just stick to my pj' bottom's and a t-shirt...and during the summer i usually wear a big t-shirt.

I wear pajama pants because they are more comfy and they keep my legs warm.

check it ?

http://www.in-brands.com/Simplified/ProductList.asp?SortID=658&SortPath=0,3,39,658,&Page=3

they hide your body as you get older & women usually dont like their bodies when theyre older? lol idk.

I have never worn them.If you mean the horrid wynette...type ones...or even...the long cotton one with flowers on an stuff...ewwhhh...no way.Plus I always end up strangeling myself in the night as the ride up around my neck when I wriggle about to get comfy.I always wear something light and comfortable in the summer, like a chemise, or other kinds of comfy cool stuff, Im not gonna say what...for the purpose of modesty. And in the winter....satin pjs are actually quite warm....I might wear them when Im like eighty or something and I have no one to impress.!!! (lol)

Is it proper to wear skimpy nightgowns around your grown children?

Definately not, I think it's totally inappropiate, but then I guess it just depends on the family. My ex-fiance's Mom used to walk around the house in her bra and panties in front of my him and his brother (who are 24 and 19) which I thought was really strange.

My Dad doesn't even sit around in his undies, he always wears a bathrobe or sweatpants

if you're talking a proper fitting cotton cami with a bit of lacy edging matched with loose fitted pj pants that's one thing... but a filmy, see through top with a thong or even boy shorts is way inappropriate.

keep it opaque

keep it all covered

keep it looser fitting

keep the material realistic... no clingy satin or silk.

anything purposely made to be sexy, NO. I think that would be more disturbing than if you were to walk arround the house naked. Skimpy is one thing, but Sexy is a no no.

All sleeping clothes, skimpy or not, should be covered up outside the bedroom, regardless of who might see them.

i don't see anything wrong with it. just don't wear any of your s&m gear around them, might freak them out a bit.

I would file that under the creepy category. Why would you want to?

No, it's not.

Looking for a source of nightgowns with built-in bra/support?

I am a large busted woman. I am trying to find a source of nightgowns with support. I like to go bra-less at night, but I do enjoy some support. Stores, web sites, catalogs anything is helpful. Thanks

Do you have to wear a hospital gown after you have surgery? or can you wear your own nightgowns?

I'll be in the hospital for about a week and I'd hate to have people see me in a hospital gown looking awful.

Due to the surgeries that you are having at least for the first few days they are going to require you to wear a hospital gown. In fact, they will probably require you to wear one almost your entire stay. I don't know how long you'll have a catheter in, but you will immediately after your surgery and I don't know how long they will leave it in....it depends on how you do. DO NOT WORRY about other people and the way you look. Worry about yourself, about getting better and taking care of yourself inside and out. Make sure that if you are in pain you are getting proper medication. Make sure that if you have a question that you ask the Dr's. Take care of yourself because there is going to be no one there but you to really love and take really good care of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I'll be calling you daily!!!!

Peace & Love :)

dont worry about it all, when you come out of theatre you will be in a hospital gown but as soon as you start recovering from treatment, they usually change you into a fresh clean pair of hospital pajamas within the next 18hours and after that they will then put you in your own nightwear. Good luck with you opperation

Depending on hospital policy but I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to wear you on gown or pajamas. Also why are you going to be there a week? Most hysterectomies are overnight stays at the most unless they have to open you up. I was out in 3 days with a hgb of 6.2 and back at work in 5 weeks.

theirs dont worry their coffy bring shorts to put on under neath if you feel uncovertabel theirs you have to wear so they can exsamine the body after surgry dont worry though their not their to jude you body in any means their their to help you and you get warm blackes in the oven things so your nice and warm

At first you will use the hospital gown because of the way they are made it is easier for the doctors and nurses to treat you. It also depends on what kind of surgery you are having.

i think you can wear a nightgown as long as it does not interfere with the area where you are getting surgery on god luck hope you get better.
